CDM Co-ordination (Construction Design Management)
We will act as CDM Co-ordinator (CDM-C) to our clients in accordance with Regulation 20 of the CDM Regulations 2007. As CDM-C we shall:
- Issue notification to the Health and Safety Executive of proposed project
- Advise and assist clients to comply with their duties under CDM
- Notify the HSE about the project
- Prepare the Pre-Tender health & safety plan
- Ensure co-operation between designers such as architects and engineers.
- Health and safety aspects of the design are properly considered and co-ordinated.
- On site health and safe support
- Contractor management
- Induction Programmes
- Co-ordinate design work, planning and other preparation for construction, with regard to health and safety
- Identify and collect pre-construction information and pass to the relevant parties
- Produce or update a health and safety file
- Advising on the competence and resources of the designer and the contractors. Assist the Principle Contractor with the preparation of the Health and Safety file for the client.
Acorn Environmental Health and Safety can also assess competency of trade contractors via health and safety submissions.
